About Me
Designer, Developer & Lifelong Learner
My career began in the printing industry, where I learned typesetting, typography, page layout, production, and the attention to detail required to turn an idea into a finished piece.
I began typesetting in 1981 using Compugraphic and Linotype equipment and moved into computerized design as the Macintosh and digital publishing began changing the printing and journalism industries. That transition gave me the opportunity to combine traditional design skills with an entirely new way of creating and producing work.
As publishing moved onto the Internet, I followed. I began writing HTML and building websites in 1995, bringing my background in typography, layout, graphics, and print production into web design and development.
Today, I create custom websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, and eCommerce platforms, depending on what best fits the project. I also continue to work in graphic and print design using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
I still approach technology the same way I always have: learn how it works, experiment with it, and keep digging until I understand what I can make it do.
